How we heated the Salone dei 500 with Infrared Heaters

Florence, "Salone dei 500" in Palazzo Vecchio, warmed by infrared heaters to host a banqueting event

The "Salone dei 500" is the largest and most important hall in Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. It is considered a Heritage Site. The walls are decorated with beautiful frescoes and its coffered ceiling has magnificent paintings.

This hall is the largest in Italy for its volume. It is 54m long, 23m wide and 18m high for a total surface of 1.242 m².

To heat the hall we had to adopt a heating system that neither heater damage the frescoes and overheat the hall ceiling. We used 18 Infrared Heaters model OMV 2250 to get a temperature of 18,5°C. We also created a temporary electrical system for the "40.5 kW" electric load of the infrared heaters, using certified electrical panels and extension cables.

The three-hundred guests were very satisfied with the temperature and congratulated us.
